Wild at Heart

In this video I journey out with a small mirrorless camera to explore caves, ruins, and waterfalls on this challenging Memaloose and Clackamas Falls hike. Beyond my love of filmmaking and music, is my connection to nature and adventure. I’ve hiked and backpacked all over the western U.S. but this is really my first time making a video out of it.

I especially like the sound design and momentum of this edit. It’s apparent I’m becoming comfortable with the Canon M50 and the lenses I was using, relative to my previous projects. This is one of the first videos I started to focus on sound.

Three days after completing the hike, the Riverside fire destroyed the entire area, burning up over 140k acres, including homes and businesses…
